Our Story

The Friends of Alpine Library was started in X by local Alpine residents—moms, teachers, volunteers who hoped to provide a key missing resource in the community. While the city of Alpine has over 10,000 residents and a median household income well above national levels, it does not have a city library of its own. Local residents have to drive to neighboring towns such as Highland or American Fork to use their amenities, with an additional fee. Meanwhile, nearly one in three residents in Alpine is under 18 years old, meaning there are thousands of children and families who would benefit directly from literacy and learning resources.
